We are a small comfortable guest house by the River Nidd in the market town of Knaresborough.  Propretors Mr & Mrs Tom & Jean Smulders.  Mrs Smulders has been at The Hermitage first with her parents & then with her husband who is Dutch.  Mr Smulders speaks French, Italian & German.

Double rooms overlook the garden and river. All bedrooms have hot and cold, private facilities also available, hot drinks tray, clock radio, tourist information, electric blankets, books and magazines.

TV lounge with hot drinks tray. Ironing board and hair dryer available. Good eating places within walking distance, train station and bus stop 5 minutes walk.

Good views of Knaresborough Viaduct and Castle. Private fishing rights. Well behaved dogs welcome. 10 minutes drive from A1, 18 miles York, 3 miles Harrogate.
