Farnham House bed and breakfast is located in County Cavan, one of the most beautiful undiscovered parts of rural Ireland. This is one of the last areas undisturbed by commercialism and development, often called The Lake Country and has a profusion of 365 lakes, that makes one for each day of the year. 

This delightful property is situated just 10 minutes from Cavan town centre, close to Cavan General Hospital, Cavan Equestrian Centre and Cavan Golf Club. There is plenty of secure onsite  parking for guests, with a lovely garden for guests to enjoy during the summer months.

Regardless to your length of stay Farnham House can offer comfortable accommodation and cater to all your needs.  The establishment is gay friendly and can accommodate well behaved same sex groups for stags and hens with prior notice.

There is a mixture of rooms available consisting of 3 double bedrooms, 1 twin and one triple. All rooms are tastefully decorated and are equipped with satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities, Internet access, shaver sockets with hairdryers and ironing facilities available upon request. Children are welcome and cots and high chairs can be provided. The twin is located on the ground floor, so may be suitable for less mobile guests.

There is a guest lounge and dining room where a full Irish breakfast is served made from locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.  Evening meals and special dietary requests will be catered for with prior notice please inform your hosts when booking.

DIRECTIONS
From Dublin, 
Take the N3 through Dunshaughlin, Navan, Kells and Virginia.  As you approach Cavan town, go straight through the roundabout (N55, signposted Athlone, Town Centre). Keep on this road where you will pass Cavan Crystal Hotel and Breffini Football Park. As this roads winds into town you will come to small set of traffic lights where you go straight through. Almost immediately you will come to a small roundabout – take the left hand exit towards Killeshandra/Crossdoney (R198). Continue on for 1KM Farnham House is on right hand side.

In addition to being the country’s premier angling location the county also offers walking trails, championship golf, horse riding and cruising on Ireland’s longest inland waterway. This is a great place to enjoy the great outdoors.

Or why not check out Cavan Crystal Ireland's second oldest glassworks or the Life force Mill a lovingly restored 19th Century corn mill, where you can collect your own loaf of freshly baked brown bread, hot out of the ovens.

Belturbet is one of Cavan's most attractive and historic towns on the River Erne, it is the scene of an exciting new heritage tourism project. The old GNR cutstone railway station, built in 1885 has been fully restored and now houses an interesting exhibition telling the story of the railway age.

Killykeen forest park Co. Cavan, will bring you closer to nature. This beautiful park is woven around lake and islands of Lough Oughter.
