Boreham House is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian house built around 1796 and was originally the home of the local apothecary. The house is set in around 2½ acres with a formal, walled garden, woodland and a field.
Recently awarded “Gold” in the South East Tourism Beautiful South Awards 2019. The AA has also awarded them with a 5 Star Gold Award.
The village of Boreham Street in which Boreham House resides, sits on a ridge offering the most magnificent views over the High Weald to the north and down to the sea, over the Pevensey marshes to the south –the very best of Sussex countryside and an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty.
The three rooms are beautifully furnished with sumptuous beds, all with handmade Vi-Spring mattresses and the finest Egyptian cotton linen. Each room has a widescreen TV with free view and internet access, as well as a complimentary tray with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. There are hairdryers in each room with soft towels and Gilchrist and Soames products in the bathrooms.
For breakfast you can choose from a wide range of local produce including fresh fruits and of course a full English breakfast or vegetarian alternatives. Boreham House holds a Breakfast Award !
The village has a wonderful pub, only 100 metres from Boreham House, offering excellent food (a Harvey’s free house) and there is a tea rooms in the village that serve lunches and delicious cream teas. Within a mile of Boreham House there are at least four other restaurants and pubs and we are always happy to make suggestions and bookings for you.

The area has much to offer the visitor being close to many historical sites such as Battle Abbey and all things ‘1066’ (including the walk from Pevensey to Rye, via Battle, that passes right by our front door). Herstmonceux, Pevensey and Bodiam castles are all within easy distance, with the sea only ten minutes away.
