A friendly welcome awaits you at Calendar Cottage, an old hamstone cottage dating back to the early 17th century with its own unique period character and an extensive, well maintained garden.
The cottage is tucked away amidst the rolling hills of the South Somerset Dorset borders, just over a mile from the historic Georgian market town of Crewkerne and only a short drive from the Jurassic Cost and some of the best beaches in the south.
The guest bedrooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard; they have original interior features and window seats. Each room features a Freeview TV, generous hospitality tray. All bed linen is Egyptian cotton with feather down duvets and pillows. Non allergen bed linen is available on request.
All rooms have en-suites with modern showers and underfloor heating. There are toiletries, hairdryers and towels. Ironing facilities are available on request.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast which includes eggs from the resident hens, Dorset cereals, porridge, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juices, blueberries and strawberries when in season. A delicious freshly-cooked full English breakfast using the best of Somerset’s locally sourced produce, home-made bread & preserves. A vegetarian full English is also available or an alternative breakfast such as kedgeree can be made to order. Special diets are catered for including picnics, packed lunches and evening meals with prior notice.
Local newspapers & magazines are provided, together with information on nearby attractions and local places of interest.
Guests have access to a communal living/dining room. There is a fireplace that is lit on the winter chilly evenings.

There is a minimum 2 night stay on Friday and Saturday nights from May to September, however, do call to check availability.
Situated in a peaceful countryside village, you have many options for visiting museums, gardens, impressive country houses, antique/craft shops and unique English country villages.
The railway station has regular services to London – Waterloo (journey time 2.5hours) Exeter and Plymouth. Transport to or from the station can be arranged, as can reservations at local restaurants and public houses, if required.
