A warm welcome awaits you from your host Alice Trufelli at Carnside Guest House.

The guest house is situated on a hill having panoramic views overlooking the Giant’s Causeway, Portrush and Donegal. It is a short walk to the Giant’s Causeway and local restaurants, ideally situated for walking, hiking or cycling (The Ulster Way) and situated close to public transport links. Five excellent golf courses are within easy reach (one Championship course – Royal Portrush). Water-sports, surfing, sailing, fishing and riding are all close at hand.

There are 12 en-suite bedrooms. All rooms have a TV, tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer. Three of the bedrooms are downstairs and suitable for elderly; one room suitable for disabled guests (twin room, accessible shower and WC has wheelchair access). Easy access by wheelchair into house and bedroom/bathroom.

A hearty Irish breakfast or continental breakfast is served in the dining room both options are made from local produce where available and special diets can be catered for please inquire when booking. Packed lunches are available for excursions and evening meals can be provided upon request. Early breakfasts can be arranged.

Guests have access to a large dining room where can be used by visitors who wish to bring evening meals and beverages into the house.

There are two guest sitting rooms with panoramic views and beautiful sunsets.

With the Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Castlerock, Ballycastle and Bushfoot Golf courses all near by a few rounds should definitely be on the cards. The scenery on all of these courses is superb; therefore you are sightseeing as well as hitting the little white ball.

A few historical sites you might wish to take in include, Flowerhill Standing Stone which is a massive standing stone, 2.2 metres in height, situated near Bushmills. Mountsandel Fort: location of earliest know hunter-gatherer settlements in Ireland, St. Patrick’s Church: early Christian Church founded by St. Patrick in the 5th century A.D. Dunluce Castle. Probably the most photographed and picturesque Irish castle… Agherton Old Church. Portstewart, which dates from at least the 1300’s, to name just a few.

The Portrush countryside centre and national nature reserve is a must for all wildlife lovers.

Art lovers should put along to the local galleries in the area such as Island Irish Art, Riverside Gallery, Todd Gallery, Portstewart Gallery.

Anglers will find plenty of options in the surrounding area, course fishing, game fishing, sea angling are all available.

If horse riding is your passion then there are several establishments that can offer riding for the experienced rider to the novice such as Maddybenny Equestrian Centre, Portrush. Pinetrees, Aghadowey. Island Equestrian Centre, Coleraine.

Safe to say there is something for everyone in this breathtaking countryside of outstanding natural beauty.
