Herringswell is ideally situated between the A11 and the A14, within 20 miles of the dreaming spires of Cambridge and 10 miles of the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds. Church Farmhouse is also ideally situated for those wishing to attend both the racing on The Rowley Mile or The July Course, or Tattersalls Bloodstock Sales.

The accommodation includes three bedrooms all featuring include hypoallergenic pillows and duvets, Egyptian cotton bed linen and thick, fluffy towels and bath mats.

“Rose” is a large Super King or Twin room with en suite facilities including a bath and separate shower. Amenities include flat screen TV, comfortable sofa, alarm clock radio, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities and bathrobes. It is also possible to add an extra single bed upon request.

“Damson” is a double bedroom with it’s own private shower room, situated on the ground floor, suitable for those who may find the stairs a little difficult. Amenities include flat screen TV, alarm clock radio, hair dryer, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and bath robes.

“Mulberry” is a large family suite with it’s own private shower room. Amenities include flat screen TV, large chaise longue, alarm clock radio, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and bath robes. Little Mulberry is attached to Mulberry by a connecting door, sharing the same shower room, and can only be booked in addition to Mulberry. It features a ‘truckle bed’, which can accommodate two people in single beds.

Breakfast is served in the Dining Room and is available between 7am and 9am week days and 7.30am and 10am at weekends. In addition to a full Suffolk Farmhouse Breakfast we also offer freshly squeezed juices, cereal and granolas, yoghurt, fresh berries, a selection of teas and freshly brewed coffee, including de-caffeinated. Local products are used as much as possible, including the famous Newmarket sausages. Please complete the breakfast menu and leave in the hallway the previous evening. It would be helpful to be informed of any dietary/allergy requirements in advance.

There is secure storage for bicycles is available in the garage.

LOCAL INFORMATION
The wonderful Norfolk and Suffolk Coasts are not much more than an hour away and visitors can take in many of the historic East Anglian villages on their journey.

The Icknield Way passes directly outside the Farmhouse, drawing walkers and cyclists along the Iceni road which once connected The Wash in Norfolk to the Dorset Coast.

The village itself is mentioned in The Doomsday Book. A fascinating booklet about it’s history is available in St Ethelbert’s Church, just a few metres along the road from the Farmhouse. It is situated on a no through road, ensuring you will enjoy a peaceful stay!

Other attractions include Lackford Lakes Visitor Centre, The First English Village, Thetford Forest, Dalham, The National Stud, The Horse Racing Museum, Newmarket Races, Tattersalls Bloodstock Sales, Cambridge Colleges, Punting on the Cam, Ickworth House and Wimpole Estate to name just a few!
