College Farm Bed & Breakfast, Ipswich, Suffolk IP8 3NT, UK
Single Occupancy £52 - £60
Double/Twin Occupancy £75 - £8
College Farm is an arable farm set in the peaceful Suffolk countryside between Ipswich and Hadleigh on the A1071. The Grade II Listed farmhouse is a 500-year-old beamed Tudor building once owned by Cardinal Wolsey in King Henry VIII’s time.
All our bedrooms are comfortably furnished and also have Freeview TV, wi-fi internet access, radio alarm clock, hot drinks tray, hair dryer and quality beds in a smoke-free environment. We add fresh flowers, sweets and chocolates, toiletries, sewing kit and magazines to the rooms for that special touch. There is also a guests’ TV lounge with a log fire for cold winter evenings. We have been awarded 4 Stars with a Silver Award for the high standard of our accommodation.
Bedroom One has a superking bed which separates to make twin beds if preferred. There is an ensuite bathroom with a bath, shower over the bath and toilet. It has views over the farm and garden.
Stable Room is a converted stable adjacent to the farmhouse with its own entrance onto a side garden. It is a twin bedded room, but can be linked to make a superking bed if preferred. There is an ensuite shower room with toilet. Being on the ground floor, it is ideal for those guests who find climbing stairs a problem. The room is very large and could accommodate another bed if necessary.
Breakfast is served in a separate dining room where you can enjoy wholesome farmhouse breakfasts freshly cooked on the Aga – we have been given a Breakfast Award from Visit England for our excellent breakfasts. We use our own own or locally grown produce wherever possible for the breakfast menu.
The house stands in a large garden which guests are welcome to relax in, and is surrounded by fields and meadows in a quiet part of the farm. You may walk the marked footpath or play golf, go fishing or horse riding which are all close by.
Double and Twin Rooms £75 – £85 per night
Single Occupancy £52 – £60 per night
