Cookies are files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your computer when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit. Cookies do lots of different jobs, such as remembering your preferences, and generally improving your online experience.
There are different types of cookies.
Session cookies last only for the duration of your visit and are deleted when you close your browser. These facilitate various tasks such as allowing you to stay logged into a website. Most of the cookies we use are session cookies.
Persistent cookies last after you have closed your browser and allow a website to remember your actions and preferences. We only use these for the auto login facility and Google Analytics.
1. To enable you to use our auto login facility (email / password)
2. To maintain you’re logged in state whilst using the website and some of the preferences you have set including location and preferred ages. These are all removed once you click the logout button.
We also use Analytics to anonymously collect usage data. Bed and Breakfast Direct does not store any tracking cookies or monitor your browsing habits in anyway on or off the Bed and Breakfast Direct website.
What If I Don’t Want to Allow Cookies?
If you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are set by any website you should do this through the browser settings for each browser you use. Please be aware that blocking session cookies will prevent you accessing the Bed and Breakfast Direct website. You can however allow cookies from specific websites by making them "trusted websites" in your Internet browser. You may wish to visit www.allaboutcookies.org which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wider variety of browsers.
