Five Bells Inn Brabourne, Bed and Breakfast Ashford

The Five Bells Inn, the North Downs and surrounding landscapes, are just too beautiful to walk away from late at night, so stay a while and enjoy all the very best that Kent has to offer and to which we hope we make a small but valuable contribution.

Enjoy a dawn or dusk walk on the high ridge that is the North Downs and the Pilgrims Way. Enjoy the wonderful views, a panorama from Rye and beyond in the West to Folkestone and Dover in the East and across the water to France. A chance encounter with a magnificent Stag in the mist, a herd of deer, the fox the hare, the badger and rabbit, the owl the soaring buzzard. Enjoy the rare fauna and flora, and all the wonderful experiences that is rural Kent’s most beautiful countryside.

Our beautiful rooms each embracing our historic architecture and true to our values, very casual and very comfortable, are named after famous hops and grapes of Kent. Each has a unique and modern comfortable twist, and if you ask we will even light the log fires for you in Ortega and Bacchus before you arrive! There are no televisions, we choose to offer tranquility, those seeking the entertainment of others, need only go downstairs!

Our food and drink is fresh, locally sourced, freshly prepared and of the highest quality. All our Ales are brewed in this part of Kent and our wine list changes regularly. Our partners stock our shop regularly, so that you can take home just about anything that we serve to the table including our bread, meat and dairy produce, eggs, fruit and vegetables, fresh local game, beer, wine, jams and relishes – there is nothing in our shop that we do not proudly serve to the table so if you enjoy what we do, why not take some home?

The Five Bells is a great place to relax and meet new friends. We are Kent people born and bred and we love our County, its history and diversity from the rolling beauty of the Downs to the history of Canterbury. The charms of the coastal towns, the winding streets of Broadstairs and Whitstable, and the beautiful market towns and villages that are Tenterden, Biddenden, Chilham and Wye to name just a few – all just a ‘stones throw’ from the Five Bells Inn.
