Greenhead Farm, Bed and Breakfast Glenrothes

Greenhead Farm is the home of Margaret and Malcolm Strang Steel and welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast.

It is conveniently situated for visiting the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and Stirling which are steeped in history with castles, monuments, museums, festivals and galleries.

On arrival at Greenhead Farm you are welcomed with tea and home baked treats served either on a sunny veranda if the weather is fine, or in front of the drawing room’s warming fire.

The guest bedrooms are spacious, light and beautifully decorated. Two rooms have zip and link beds catering for double or twin occupancy. Each room has its own bathroom generously supplied with fluffy towels and bathrobes and scented bath essences.

Guests can relax in the sitting room which is lovingly furnished with antiques and family portraits. Soak up the stunning views, read a book or enjoy the many board games.

A full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room. Maggie is an excellent hostess and offers dinner by prior arrangement. All meals are produced using the finest ingredients including local produce where possible, and fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden.

There are many pubs and restaurants within the surrounding area that also offer lunchtime and evening meals.

Outside guests can enjoy use of the beautiful garden and have a game of croquet.

Walkers will enjoy the surrounding 590 acres of farm and woodland and there are also many excellent walks in the nearby Lomond Hills. There is trout fishing available on the farm by arrangement.

Dinner, available on request, is an additional £36 per head.

Within reach of Perth, Stirling, St Andrews, and Edinburgh, Greenhead has a wonderful position, high on the south side of the Lomond Hills with views across to the extinct volcanoes of East Lothian and the other side of Edinburgh more than 20 miles away.
