Welcome to Kerrington House which is set in beautiful landscaped gardens on the edge of Axminster market town. Once a Victorian gentleman’s residence it has been lovingly restored and maintained to a high standard.

Kerrington House has been furnished with relaxation in mind, with a personal collection of antiques. The Breakfast room has prints by the Devon Victorian artist Elizabeth Cameron.

The Lounge, overlooking the garden, with free Wi-Fi is spacious, light and airy. Furnished with comfy sofas and armchairs, it is the perfect place to relax with a book and a pot of tea, or a drink from the comprehensive honesty bar.

There are eight individually decorated bedrooms ranging from antique to Victorian Country House style, with en-suite bath or shower rooms. There are some rooms suitable for older and less mobile guests, wheelchair users and the visually impaired. The bedrooms are luxuriously appointed with inviting easy chairs and supremely comfortable beds and dressing tables with lights.

Kerrington House is the ideal place for a ‘get-together’, whether a family celebration, a business event, or a house-party for a group of friends or relatives. Because its small, you can have the whole house to yourselves, choose what you want to do and when.

Kerrington House is just 10 minutes walk from the River Cottage Canteen and Deli, 6 minutes drive from River Cottage HQ, 7 minutes walk to Axminster Power Tools and their Axminster Skill Centre; 20 minutes drive from Exeter Airport and 45 minutes from Weymouth and Portland.

Kerrington House is the ideal base for exploring Devon and neighbouring Dorset and Somerset.

Just a 10 minute walk away is the Flamingo Pool with a large heated indoor swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool and fitness centre. A little further away are all-weather tennis courts and indoor bowls.

This is superb country for walking, cycling, swimming, fishing, golf and many other pursuits. It is ideal for touring Somerset and Dorset, Beer, Lyme Regis, Branscombe, Sidmouth the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site are within 10 to 20 minutes drive

National Trust houses and gardens abound, and for antique lovers, Honiton, with over 50 antique shops and sale rooms, is nearby. A little further afield are Exmoor, Dartmoor, Torbay, Dartmouth, Exeter, Taunton, Dorchester and Salcombe, all within range for a day out.
