Lowertown Farm, Bed and Breakfast Widecombe in the Moor, Ashburton

Lowertown Farm Bed & Breakfast is set in a peaceful rural hamlet within the Dart valley, three miles away from the picturesque village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. We are surrounded by ninety three acres of farmland with open moorland above and below the farm.

Luke and Hannah, the second generation to live at the 500yr old farmhouse, welcome you with a warm log fire (perfect for those cold winter nights), comfy sofas and full English Breakfasts.

All the bedrooms are furnished with high quality mattresses, John Lewis bed linen and fluffy bath and hand towels. All bedrooms feature photography from local photographer Richard Fox.

A large tea and coffee station on the spacious landing will cater for your needs with a quick-cup providing hot water at the touch of a button.

Free Wi-Fi throughout the farmhouse with a fairly good connection despite the thick Dartmoor granite walls.

All guest bedrooms are upstairs and share a large bathroom (bath with shower above) – please bear this in mind. There are a number of steps around the farmhouse due to the house being over 500 years old. Therefore our B&B is unfortunately unsuitable for those who are unable to climb stairs.

A full English breakfast using local produce where possible is usually served between 8am and 9am however due to it being a working farm, breakfast times may need to alter due to other commitments, ie. calf feeding, farrier & vets visits, livestock markets etc.

With advance notice (at least two days) we can provide a packed lunch for only £7.50 each and also cater for any dietary needs.

Guests can enjoy a ‘farm tour’. Children are welcome to feed our chickens their daily handful of mixed corn.

One or two nights stay– £27.50 per person per night based on two people sharing.
