hoenix Lodge is a quality B&B ideal for both the business and leisure traveller. It is located in the heart of Bishops Stortford, only 45 minutes by train to London and just a five to ten minutes to & from Stansted Airport.

Although it is close to Stansted Airport it is away from the flight paths and ideally situated for those visiting London and Cambridge. Airport parking and long term parking is available for guests at a small charge, please contact for details.

The guest bedrooms are tastefully decorated in a modern style. All rooms are en-suite and there is high speed wireless internet access throughout the guest house. Children are welcome and a cot is available on request.

Prices include a free complimentary breakfast and are ideal for visitors leaving before 7.am. Breakfasts consist of Orange juice, bottle of milk, Fruit dessert boxes of cereal, weetabix and tea & coffee. Or visit historic houses including Anglesea Abbey, Audley End, Wimpole Hall. Imperial war museum Duxford, on the way to Cambridge.

Don’t forget the Toy Museum, House on the Hill in Stansted 25,000 toys and books dating from late Victorian times at Europes largest private museum, or Hatfield Forest home to 400 hectares of ancient coppice woodlands provides great walking and the lakes, superb coarse fishing.

Retail therapy at Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres. Just off M25, Bluewater is Europe’s largest shopping centre (Lakeside north and Bluewater south of Dartford Tunnel). Great shops, restaurants and ample parking.
