Popular Area - The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful areas of the Heart of England. It runs south west to north east and stretches from the border regions of South Warwickshire and Worcestershire, through West Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire taking in parts of Bath, North East Somerset and West Wiltshire.

With its charming and picturesque villages The Cotswolds is famous for its honey coloured stone cottages and the drystone walls that have divided the landscape for hundreds of years. Here at the Cotswolds you will find beautiful village greens, traditional pubs, quaint tea rooms and farmland with a diverse mix of arable, livestock and woodland.

Popular towns and villages include Wotton Under Edge, Stroud, Painswick Village, Nailsworth and Stonehouse to name just a few.

The Cotswolds is within easy reach from all directions with the M40 and M4 from London, the M6 from the north, M5 from the south and from the north east using the M1 and M42. If travelling by rail then First Great Western runs main services from London.

The Cotswolds countryside varies from steep hillsides in the east of the region to flatter landscapes like the areas of the Severn Vale which are ideal for cycling. For those that enjoy walking will find “The Cotswold Way” is a long distance walking trail that runs between the city of Bath in the south and the town of Chipping Campden in the north.
