Scolfes B&B, Tea Shoppe & Gardens is located in Boreham Street, a small village steeped in ‘1066 Country’ history. The property is a Grade II listed building that dates back to 1392 its good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and families (with kids).

Originally a three bay Wealden Hall House, its structure comprises of a slightly unequal two bay Western terminal hall, with a service hall to the East. An upper floor was erected in the 17th century and one of the bedrooms has facilities for lowering large objects through the window, known as a coffin drop.

The accommodation includes 2 delightful Family Suites and 1 comfortable Double room. All the rooms have en-suite facilities with complimentary towels and bathroom products. Tea and Coffee is available on request. We hope you appreciate the charm of the ‘wonky’ floors & ceilings and low doors in this Grade 2 listed building, please mind your head!

You will receive a key to your room and a key to the back lobby door so you can come and go as you please during your stay. When the owners are on site you can also use the Tea Shoppe lounge area in the evenings where there are plenty of board games and a cosy log fire in the winter months.

Downstairs we also have a charming Tea Shoppe on site serving delicious home cooked Brunch, Lunch and Afternoon Tea Wednesday to Sunday. The building is also licensed so beverages can be purchased when the owners are on site (which is most of the time!).

We have a delightful English Country Garden that you can enjoy (weather permitting!).

There is also great country pub just across the road (The Bulls Head) where you can enjoy great local ales and food.

If you need anything else during your stay please ask, we only live downstairs and are happy to help before bedtime!
