Hillbrow Farm is situated in the village of Witnesham, in the rural county of Suffolk. Despite being only 5 miles from Ipswich town centre, it is in a very quiet rural location, while still within easy reach of Ipswich, Woodbridge, Wickham Market, Needham Market, Stowmarket and Felixstowe.
The Farm has not been worked for some years and only 12 acres remain with the house. The age of the building has not yet been ascertained, but a family of ten were living here in the 1800's. The house is made of red brick, but it has been painted black and white in more recent years. There is ample parking for guests with full access to the beautiful gardens. It is ideal for cyclists.
There are several spacious rooms to choose from. A light first floor "Studio Room", which boasts a king size bed and en-suite shower room. There is a balcony from which the sunrise can be viewed, or an evening drink enjoyed. There is a sitting area, a single bed can also be provided for an additional person if required. It has its own entrance and direct access to the breakfast room, which is available on the ground floor.
The "Ground Floor Room" has its own private access with a few yards walk into the breakfast room. It has two large double glazed windows which look out over old Suffolk farm buildings; there is a comfortable king size bed with en-suite shower room. The ground level access would accommodate a person with some mobility difficulties but there are 3 steps into the shower room.
All rooms are centrally heated, with digital television and tea/coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi is also available for guests use.
A full English breakfast is offered comprising of Suffolk sausages and bacon bred and cured locally. Suffolk 'Blackuns' are available on request (Recommended by Rick Stein). A lighter meal can be provided if preferred. Your hosts will do their best to comply with any dietary requirements but would appreciate notification of this when booking.
