Crowtrees Farm, Stoke-on-Trent Bed and Breakfast

Description

Crowtrees is a working sheep farm in the Staffordshire Moorlands with views across the picturesque Churnet Valley. It is ideally situated for Alton Towers which is just two and half miles away (approximately 10 minuets by car).

There are two types of guest accommodation some in the main farmhouse and a newly appointed barn conversion.

The farmhouse provides three en-suite rooms accessed from the main car park with views across the valley. Your own key gives access at anytime during your stay. The new barn conversion provides four spacious family/double rooms, all with fully en-suite shower rooms. Each room has independent ground floor access and individual parking there is one room suitable for disabled. Larger families can be offered adjoining rooms, the use of two rooms would, of course, be reflected in the price.

There is not a residents lounge but all rooms have central heating, drinks making facilities, clock radios and colour TV’s. For your convenience there is also a small fridge in every room.

A hearty English breakfast is served with fresh farm eggs coming from the resident hens. The large garden has seating which is accessible to all. The grounds offer play areas with space and freedom for ball games, barbeques etc.

Alton Towers is by no means the only attraction in the Staffordshire Moorlands area. There is much to offer visitors of all ages and tastes. The local factory pottery shops open all year round, and are always popular with guests. Wedgwood and Royal Doulton have visitor centres, the Gladstone museum offers "hands on" pottery making and painting for all ages.

Within the Potteries, the local name for the Stoke on Trent area, is Festival Park - a large leisure complex containing Water World, 10 Pin Bowling, Quasar, 10 screen cinema and a dry ski slope. However if you opt for the quieter more relaxing type of holiday Crowtrees makes the perfect base for walking in the local area through the heavily wooded valleys and hills, pretty villages with hospitable pubs for refreshment.
