Southview Farm is a working dairy farm situated in the Eden valley where the picturesque village of Winton is surrounded by beautiful countryside and provides a perfect base for visiting the lakes and dales.

A mile south west of Winton, the market town of Kirkby Stephen is situated with a mix of Antique shops and cafes. The area is a popular headquarters for walkers of the pennines, Kirkby Stephen is also on the Cumbrian cycle way, is the central point on Alfred Wainwrights Coast to coast walk and is an ideal base for exploring the Howgills.

A mile south of Kirkby Stephen the railway station is a stop along the scenic settle to Carlisle railway line. The ruins of Pendragon Castle, 4 miles south of Kirkby Stephen, were said to be built by Uther Pendragon, father to the legendary King Arthur who was supposedly named Pendragon by the Wizard Merlin.

Our two large bedrooms are furnished with a double and single bed and have tea making facilities, TV and hairdryers.

Breakfast is served in the dining room with a choice of full English breakfast, or vegetarian and lighter options. Packed lunches can be provided if ordered in advance and there are some lovely pubs in the area for evening meals.
