The Crown Inn at Horsted Keynes is a historic building dating back to the 16th Century. It has been serving locals and travelers for over 250 years. Today it is a hidden treasure tucked away in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

The Crown Inn offers fantastic bed and breakfast accommodation. There are Four Double Guest Rooms upstairs which benefit from having En Suite Bathrooms, Flat Screen Televisions, Tea & Coffee facilities and most importantly, views of The Green.

All food is all locally sourced including our meats from Ashurst Wood, our veg from Crowborough and our bread is from Sheffield park. We cook Fresh food made by our Chef’s Paul, Jon & Andy who come up with some very creative dishes as well as your pub classics. We welcome all comers whether you are here for a light sandwich or celebrating a special occasion we are happy to cater for you.

We cater for all sorts of party’s from private dining to birthday party’s with a buffet please let us know your requirements and we are happy to help.

The Crown Inn is close to many National Trust properties ,Standen (William Morris art) , Nymans, Chartwell (Churchill’s home), Sheffield Park Gardens (woodland gardens designed by Capability Brown and Humphrey Repton -landscape architecture at its best with a centre piece of four lakes linked by cascades and waterfalls ). Also, Royal Botanic Gardens at Wakehurst Place.

Ashdown Forest -with origins dating from 1372 as a hunting ground for the aristocracy, these 6,400 acres of woodland and heath has spectacular views and delightful walks AND the famous bear ‘Winnie the Pooh’ lives here!

Ashdown Llama Park -Over 100 Llamas and alpacas, lovely views, picnic area, adventure play area, museum, South American crafts, gift shop, coffee shop. The Priest House, West Hoathly 15th century timber framed house now a museum containing 17th/18th century domestic furniture, needlework and household items.
