The Goat House at Ivy Cottage is situated in the historical village of Laxton, a small and quiet village that can be dated back to the doomsday book. It is the last remaining village in England that practices the Medieval Open Field farming system.

The Goat House has its own entrance and is an idyllic place to stay set in a stylishly converted red brick barn that sits behind the main house which has been lovingly restored, providing ample privacy to make it a perfect peaceful place to stay.

The accommodation includes a double bedroom, spacious bathroom, hallway and large sitting room, which can be used as extra accommodation if required (the modula sofa matches the measurements of a single bed, offering space for two).

Breakfast is a choice of full English or continental and is served in the main house dining room at a time that suits. Freshly squeezed orange juice, grapefruit and homemade jams and marmalade are all included.

Laxton has an award winning pub called The Dovecote Inn, which is open seven days of the week. Booking is preferable as it does get very busy, please contact Samantha to make a reservation on your behalf. In the next door village there is the Old Plough Inn, a nice walk if you have time on your hands!
