You will be warmly welcomed and cared for on our 400 acre sheep and arable farm in a lovely peaceful valley only 2 miles from Hawick. Wiltonburn is situated at the end of a road so we offer tranquillity without isolation.
We have two letting rooms for bed and breakfast. A family room consisting of a double and single in one large room and a small single with en-suite shower in adjoining room. Cost £35.00 per adult and reduced rates for children.
There is also a double room with kingsize bed & private bathroom with large Victorian bath. Cost £32.50 per person.
Relax in the garden or practise your putting or have a game of croquet on the lawn, or walk to the award-winning Wilton Lodge Park on the banks of the River Teviot. The park extends to over 100 acres with riverside and tree lined walks and a walled garden with superb floral displays. The Hawick Museum and Scott Gallery reflect the town’s history and also house exhibitions including one on “Hizzy” – Steve Hislop the late motorcycling champion.
Bring your own horse to Wiltonburn or hire one at one of the local stables and find yourself in horse heaven in the Scottish Borders. We have stabling for 3 horses plus sheep shed accommodation and grazing available.
South of Scotland Countryside Trails is a 350km network of quiet off-road routes for walkers, horse-riders and cyclists linking to the Pennine Bridleway, Border Country Ride and other long distance routes. Few and far between are there places left where you can enjoy the solitude and unspoilt countryside still to be found in Scotland. Striding high on the hills above Wiltonburn or ambling through hidden valleys, you will feel a million miles from the stresses and strains of life.
The 95km (57 miles ) Buccleuch Country Ride offers seven routes through stunning Borders scenery in the Hawick and Selkirk areas and is marked with blue and white horseshoe signs. You can also bring your own horse on holiday to Wiltonburn and take part in the local Common Ridings or Festival of the Horse. The Hawick riding route goes through the farm which joins up the fabulous 50 miles of the Buccleuch Trail.
