Across the road from Woodgreen House B&B is the entrance to the internationally acclaimed golf course Hankley Common, there is also the popular dining pub ‘The Duke of Cambridge’.

The surrounding landscape is officially designated as an area within the Surrey Hills, described as an area of oustanding natural beauty(AONB) the area includes Bourne Woods and Alice Holt Forest (now part of the South Downs National Park). Bourne Woods is used as filming location. Among the recent titles filmed are Gladiator, Robin Hood and Wolfman.
